Crosstourer Service Deal
« on: May 14, 2012, 04:54:51 PM »
I hear that the Crosstourer might get a service deal (warranty)  costing about £550 that will pay for 4 services and include any parts needed, any information?

The Service plan Costs £575 for a Manual or DCT

It covers the costs of the 600, 8000, 16000 and 24000 mile service, including all oils, fluids, labour and parts required in accordance with the manufacturers servicing schedule.

Anything over and above, such as a rear tyre, brake pads etc aren't covered.

It isn't a warranty, and it isn't a tailored service plan, which is only available for bikes out of manufacturers warranty.

Every Honda dealer can sell one of these, and the bike can be taken to any UK Honda dealer for those services.

Thinking back to the old days where a VFR800 16k service alone exceeded £575, the plan is fantastic value & is actually subsidised by Honda

I completely agree with Mark, at £575 I saw the 24,000 mile service plan as a no brainer of a deal - the dealer did the sums for me and the price of each service individually came to well over £900 (at today's prices, and I expect them to go up over the next 3 years !).
