Hello from Monaghan, Ireland
« on: April 26, 2012, 07:54:46 PM »
Hello everyone! :031:

I've been wauting for a chance to test-ride the x-tourer before joining and am delighted to say I've just had a fantastic one hour ride and am blown away! :001:

I'm riding a 2005 Varadero for the last four years, just crossed the 41k miles mark, and have owned a variety of bikes. Suzuki gs1000 (long time ago!), CX500 (Very long time ago!!) BMW GS 1150/1200 ADV which I have to admit never give me the slightest bother. And, Pan 1100 and 1300 which made me a V4 junkie!

I had a mid life crisis a few years ago and, after 23 years as a welder, decided to train as a psychiatric nurse, and am due to qualify in October 2012.

It will be at least a year before I can afford an X-tourer but I've started to save my pennies already thanks to tax rebate - extra sweet don't ye think!

In the meantime, I'll live the dream thru you guys and girls and would like to wish all you buying a new X-tourer the best of luck and many happy miles! :152:

Rora

It's nice when you get tax back. Mine is due back in May - just before the tours I've planned - I hope the tax man is kind to me - maybe I can afford to treat my CT to some 5-Star!  :305:
